What happened?
After all the hype and expectations of a decent home performance that really was a poke in the eye.
Mark Robins says we didn't set out to play from back to front missing out the midfield but we didn't seem to make much effort to play our normal game. From the first whistle we played it long from the keeper and never tried to play from the back. Yes, Oldham gave us no space and closed us down superbly but the players showed no bravery in trying to play as we have been doing but seemed to throw the towel in and play the safer long ball for the whole game.
The defence looked scared to death of the pace Oldham had up front and Boyce, who has been so solid of late, was done like a kipper at least three times letting his man get wrong side. Canavan was fine in the air but a lumbering heap on the floor and Clarke continues to be all over the place.

re: What happened?
The trouble to many changes of players,it was all kick and chase.Every time we cleared our line's it went to the opposition.Clark was out classed from the start if he is out best right back we are in trouble.Unless there is injury leave the team alone we looked second rate except for a few moves. We have a lot of games coming up so i hope we can keep up the speed.
