Not sure if 70.2% was the known figure when I heard the radio this morning but the estimate was that the team finishing last would earn more than the winners of just a few years ago.

Very nice if you are in the Premier League but will probably create even a bigger gap to the football league clubs. Overall I am not sure I am in favour. Even the Premier League is about 3 leagues within a league. Unfortunately gone are the days when for instance Derby or Nottingham Forest, provincial clubs, could finish top. Progress ... hmm!
SSN were saying that there was a 70% increase from the last deal.
I hope that means a 70% increase in the money they pay our club though I bet not.
It also says that each team will be shown live at least 4 times in a season.
With the proposed TV money eclipsing matchday revenue even more than it does under the current deal, there'll be far less incentive for clubs to consider expansion.Quote:
