Team Against Cardiff

OK - what does Bowyer do, assuming Marshall, Dunn and Lowe are all unavailable?
I suppose the logical thing is to start with virtually the whole team from Saturday's game - so something like:

Eastwood
Henley Duffy Kilgallon Olsson
Taylor Cairney Williamson/Evans Conway
Gestede King.

How many of you would go down that route? And do you think GB will?
Can he resist playing Steele or Hanley, for example? Will he trust Henley in a League game or bring back the more-experienced Baptiste? Will Spearing play instead of either Evans or Williamson? Will Taylor be dropped? And what about Rhodes?
The permutations are endless. In some ways, that is GB's fault for having built up such a big squad, but given the number and quality of the players available, I do think it's not as easy as some of you do to pick the "BEST XI"!
Cardiff are on a bad run, so I think an attacking policy is best, and we might be able to do without an out-and-out defensive midfielder in the style of Williamson or Lowe, b

As you say it's a mixed blessing; the squad size, and GB's apparent uncertainty upon the right eleven for a given opponent. And yes your right, so easy from the comfort of our armchair or stadium seat (especially after the event).
Having said that, it is not our elected/chosen/tutored career, nor are we on his salary, so putting that into the equation, there is no reason not to question or concern over his deliberations.
I have not seen enough of the team this last three months or so to give valid comment upon a first eleven set up, I feel that is best left to the regular attendees.
I have to say though that my continued concerns regarding JR. will just not go away. This, to repeat, is no slight against the lad, as he seems a real level headed guy. But his 'frailties' are being more exposed over time. Yes he is still finding the net, more often than his lesser abled strikers. But his aspired to 'valuation' and ongoing salary are going in opposite directions in reflection of his declin

The fact is, all of those who have watched lots of games have agreed that Hanley has been the weakest element in the back four, more often than not. When Duffy and Kilgallon have played together, they have appeared to have a sounder understanding. There is no conspiracy against Hanley. Leaving him out is based on a consensus and the evidence.

Your last team would be the one I would opt for however saxo and Gary's mate hanley will start much the same as Lowe would if fit.

Gary likes to change things about a bit which would be a shame as king would rip into the Cardiff defence.

I was just reading the article in the link below on the official site.
It really made it hit home what huge changes have taken place in the last two years on the playing front.
Interesting , too, that GB makes a point of mentioning the "massively reduced" wage-bill.
