Has it begun? Have we been found out?
I think it's time to drop Pelle, he's ineffective and something needs to be changed.

Possible some teams have had long enough to see the way we play and worked out how to stop us creating chances, certainly seem to still be having plenty of possession but not the chances. Or maybe just a confidence thing. I wouldn't dig anyone out at this stage though, hopefully one good win will see normal service resume.
Don't think it's just Pelle. He's off form right now and we still try looking for him with the long hoof. Predictable and easy to counter.
Was dismayed with the first choice starting eleven with Davis and Ward-Prowse both predictably ineffectual. The first goal was shocking ! :/
Changes needed agreed. We're not getting the breaks at the moment but we're not creating enough either.
They were too good for us today but we're still above them so it's not all bad.
We don't shoot enough for me and our set plays are hopeless. Ward Prowse and Davis are not starters IMO and if fit Morgan has to start alongside Victor. And why in gods was Mane on the bench?? And even when he came on he was played in the wrong place. The game was crying out for us to go 442 with Mane playing off Pelle.
I'd like to think we have two winnable games coming up but...

2 goals from 4 shots on target, similar story against SMS, clinical.
We've had a poor run before, hopefully we can bounce back. The difference being that all the big players are hitting form. Worrying.

I've said this, somewhere, before, but the reason we are so good defensively is the same reason why we are so poor at scoring goals.
We play with two defensive midfielders, with neither getting forward to help the attack, when we are on top.
This limits the number of players we get in or around the box, in support of Pelle.
Pelle gets a lot of stick, but the service he is receiving is quite shocking. Having said that, he lacks the mobility of a Giroud or Dzeko which limits his capability of unsettling defences with his movement.
Our crossing still leaves a lot to be desired, and when we do get players in the box, for cut back crosses, they ALL stream into the 6 yard box, with no one hanging back on the penalty spot. Exactly that happened in the dying minutes, with Tadic pulling the ball back, but we had 3 players all looking for the ball along the 6 yard line.
We need more intelligent, and more composed, attacking players, basically.

I heard that Mane turned up late so was dropped by Koeman. Well that worked then...Quote:
