What's with these posts? I've been seeing them on every board from time to time forever, but they seem to be peaking.
Is it some kind of phishing scam or are they on the level? Who would consider as valid social scientific data the results of spamming football forums?
I would never open these links for fear of introducing a computer virus into my system. Also, as suggested by Robus, using a footie board of posters bearing falses hardly supports academic integrity in such a study!
I class the Dissertation threads about as off putting as the 'missing posters', 'please don't leave' and 'This forum/site' type threads. They offer nothing to the way forward on a football forum.
