Thoughts on Sheffield United game

Six games without a win and three tricky away games on the spin to come. Slightly worrying times again.

Thank goodness Bishop had to come off with an injury because if Robins had come out with the same ultra- defensive formation for the second half I think the crowd would have been well and truly on his back.

Having Adelakun on the pitch a least gave their defence something to think about for the first time. Sadly we rarely gave him the ball to feet to run at them.

Poor Paddy was obviously desperate to score on Irish Iron day but fluffed his chances big time. The failure to put Adelakun clean through is probably a bigger crime than his own missed sitter. Pleased to see he has had the grace to admit he didn't deserve the MOTM awards. I was surprised to hear before the game that his strike rate is actually slightly better when paying out wide than when down the middle. One in the eye for those who were saying all our problems would be over if we played him at centre forward.
