Interview with Peter Swann
Firstly, hope this is not seen as spamming. Please let me know if I'm breaking any site rules.
I'm a writer on i-72.co.uk, a fairly new Football League publication which publishes in-depth features and interviews. We spoke to Peter Swann last week and thought you might be interested in having a look. I'd be interested in your comments on the article and Swann in general

re: Interview with Peter Swann
A good article Steve with plenty of information in there.
As far as Swann is concerned I think the majority of fans have nothing but praise for his vision for the club. I have no reason to believe he is anything other than genuine in his views that the club has to get a income stream that does not rely on attendances if the football club are going to achieve and continue to achieve success above it's natural position. I would go so far as to say it's the only way such success can be delivered given the size of the town and it's base support.
Of course there are a very small number of people happy to have a pop at him and accuse him of being on an ego trip. The truth is that he almost certainly has got a bit of an ego, and a good thing too. Without it business people like him would never make a success of anything. The odd voices of dissent seem to come from people who have egos of their own to massage and over the years have always needed to invent at least one hate figure in the clu

I won't and shame the lame, but there are some real poss totts making accusations against our chairman and manager.
I personally belive that a new stadium in a new area of developement will be great for The Iron. Swann's ambition is driven and he will drive our club forward.
I do feel a bit sorry for Mark Robbins, he took over a newly promoted team that hadn't been strengthened during the summer. In other words a slightly better than average L2 side. Hopefully, even though he is having to use loan signings, we will survive in L1 this season, and see a real Robbins team built and ready for next season.
Relegation would be a real stick in the spokes, and will start the usual BS from the usual BSers.
