I was listening to Radio Scotland on the way home from work, and I heard them talking about a conspiracy theory doing the rounds.
On the last day Ross county play Kilmarnock. A draw would see them both stay up.!!.
If I was a player in that game, I would settle for that...Any thoughts:s
For that reason if we win on Saturday we need both Killie and RC to draw their games or lose to make a draw unacceptable in the last game. Even at that if there is a three point gap going into the last game we are done our goal difference is to big to swing round.Quote:

That said, should that pair require a draw on the last day of the season I would have no complaints about them doing it. We would, I hope, do the exact same in their position.
For this to happen it has to be status Quo after Saturday and imo would make no difference as if it was and we were still 3 points between both teams we would be gubbed anyway on goal difference but if we won on sat and either of them didnt then they could not play for a draw either way i dont see this happening.
Not quite - if they both lose on Saturday while we draw, we'd move to within two points. They can then carve out a draw on the final day to extend that back to three, screwing us unless we put a bucket-load past Thistle.
there are 2 many permutations pending how this weekend results go, 1 thing that would help beyond a win in paisley is improving the goal difference and a 2 goal win added say to a 2 goal loss by 1 of them would start to change the odds. however if all 3 win on sat then its all but over
Both Killie and County have been on TV dismissing the whole idea of playing for a draw.
I do remember similar suspicions a while ago about teams playing for a result which suited them.I can't remember who we were playing, but on the same day McDonald scored twice in the dying minutes to get us a 2 - 1 win...
At the end of the day we have to win our final two games before we worry about a conspiracy theory neither of our games are forgone conclusions.We will have to be up for two very physical games where we have to get into their faces straight from the kick off until the final whistle,I'm sure our supporters at both games won't be slow in letting the players know what is happening elsewhere in the other matches.We require a 5 goal turnaround with County or 7 goal turnaround with Killie, a win in Paisley by 2 or 3 goals and a defeat for either one or both of them would certainly make it interesting on the last day
