Along with the Bradford City fire Heysel is often seen as the 'forgotten tragedy. I remember watching on television as the disaster unfolded. I wouldn't wish what happened that day on my worst enemy.

Tragedies like these gave football a massive wake up call. Any one of us could have been caught up in one. The Spurs v Wolves one in the FA cup semi-final 1981 springs to mind even before Bradford, Heysel and Hillsborough. - view external link

The Crime was that it was ever played in that Stadium in the first place, not fit for purpose doesn't even come close to describing it! :blue:
