For those of you who havnt seen it the N and S Yesterday published and sent to the club a list of 10 questions they feel need to be answered but with all due credit to Jon Coleman and indeed the paper for coming out and taking this stance i think if you were to get an answer to the question below a lot of the first 10 would answer themselves.
In light of the searches done on numerous company search websites which all without exception list a Mr Norman Frederick Story as being a current director of C.U.F.C. Holdings and being a member of that companies board of directors i think question 11 should be.
11] Would the club like to confirm or deny that this is the same Fred Story that both the man himself as well as the Club have for the past 7 years claimed to be no longer connected in any way with Carlisle United Football Club. And if not why are several well established company search sites listing that he is ?

Who cares whether Fred is still involved or not?
I think with the McDonald fiasco following Kavanagh's sacking it proved fairly conclusively that Story is still a major stakeholder - and I think rightly.
If he retains a directorship in Knighton Holdings - that's fair enough after writing off a loan of that size. If anyone else wants to donate over £1 million to the club - I'd reckon they deserve a directorship in the holding company also.
I reckon Fred's still involved as he's a shrewd businessman and I never believed for one second that the loan was written off unconditionally - there's no such thing in the world as a free lunch, like I said at the time.
The end game, since we messed up promotion to tier two under John Ward, has always been Blue Yonder - and the realisation of the true value of the Brunton Park site. It's why Lapping was brought in, and could probably be why a bigger fish has become involved.
