Anyone else stay up to watch the ladies show us how it's done? Personally I really enjoyed that. They got stuck in, really wanted it and rode their luck at crucial points. I didn't think we would get out of the group but lo and behold we are now in a semi final against a supposedly good but unconvincing Japanese side. Bring it on!
Nice to have an England team being competitive in a World Cup. Maybe they are showing how it should be done by appointing a man as coach. Perhaps the men's team should appoint a women Manager? >;)
As honest as it probably is, I can't really get into bint fitba, because it's well, erm, bint fitba.
It ain't for everyone I guess. ;D

Thank god it's over (effectively). The Beeb making such a big thing of it because it's one of the few things they have left to show.
I guess it would've been interesting to see the viewing figures had it been on at a watchable time. Probably similar to most Olympic sports (Curling being a good example), you watch at the time because they're there (and there's a fit female in the team), but 2 weeks later you couldn't give a monkeys.
Very disappointing to wake up & find out that the girls had lost in the way they did. Due to being up at 6:30 I didn't stay up to watch it either, despite the temptation.Quote:

It reminded me of low-level schoolboy football. I really couldn't get interested in it. Bring on the new Premier League season and Europe!
