A crime at the county ground......
well that's my opinion. To sack manager Mark Cooper barely 3 months into the season. A manager who got them into the play offs last season, o.k. they did not go up but he generated a lot of cash for them.
And who sold some of of his best players , so the management are to blame not Mark,
Maybe Gaz n Laz know better, but thats how it looks to me.
As for the game yesterday I listened to the whole 90 mins and while Robin.s defence was a bit shaky it was an entertaining game, I loved it when with Swindon's 1st goal attempt their fans began chanting "We are going up,
we are going up". Overall a great atmosphere at the game from what I could hear. They only lost 2-0 to the Lions
re: A crime at the county ground......
Spot on claw as far as I'm concerned, some of his best players flogged from under his nose and yet after only 13 games he's shown the door, some of these owners don't deserve their own position let alone others under them >:(
re: A crime at the county ground......
I have been out and about Claw and only just found out
There was a lot of "Cooper Out" even when we were playing well.
The "Cooper Out" Brigade have grown in numbers
There are sensible lads who see his predicament but as fans we are yes again divided in our loyalties
We had 9 1st team players out yesterday and 10 out in our last game
As Alto said we sold 2/3 of the squad last season and had to rebuild for this season which took longer than anticipated and yet still incomplete
So to blame Cooper outright is unjust but the pic below was being passed around Swindon fans media and leaves the fans feeling he doesn't care

Some blame our chairman Lee Power (A MILLWALL FAN FROM A CHILD)
But it isn't that simple. We had debts and it was appearing there was no end to debt after debt emerging. Power sorted out the so called crooks from the club (Jed McCrory who deserted Banbury FC to come to ou

Unfortunately nowadays it's all about results ,people seem to forget what has happened in the past.. There is not much loyalty shown to soccer managers nowadays ,if they have a string of bad results they are given the chop ..They must hate it when the chairman goes public and says we are giving him the full backing of our board.. I suppose in most cases the managers will be given a nice fat cheque as a goodbye present though,so they won't be too bothered.
re: A crime at the county ground......
Thats exactly what its about Alf, results count and we're in the same position at the moment of being fed up with Lee Johnson and want him out unless things pick up soon. We've recently lost to some garbage teams like Doncaster & Crewe, and it was Saarfend yesterday and the top 6 teams are starting to drift away from us.
Some of our fans say Steve Evans is the last man we should want if it came down to it, apparently he pees off a lot of people who work near him.
re: A crime at the county ground......
well thank phook Stevo has joined Lids
Power at the helm tomorrow night! Could be interesting
re: A crime at the county ground......
Things are looking grim, from the local reports seems we should have got beat 8-0 at Millwall! Having said that we have 10 first team players out injured or suspended so things should improve? I feel a bit sorry for Mark Cooper.

Not just Cooper getting a raw deal

No entry at Swindon Town: A technicality or a personal vendetta?
October 20, 2015
SWINDON Town denied me access to their press facilities tonight.
They were within their rights to do so.
They have lost my support for the foreseeable future.
First of all, I’ll try to explain what happened, then those of you who don’t like opinions might want to stop reading.
When I arrived a little after 6.15pm I did not expect any difficulties, having requested a press pass through the correct channels and before the cut-off. While I am soon to leave the company, I am still an employee of Total Sport until Sunday and the club permitted me entry to the home defeat to Peterborough United recently after I had made them aware of the situation several weeks ago, even though I was there to freelance for an agency.
Just to be safe, M&Y News Agency also requested a press pass – to show they intended to atten
re: A crime at the county ground......
Funny atmosphere last night
Sunday league football for most part from both sides
Ajose's goal was way above the performance of the teams
Fans singing we are going up when we shot over the bar
Attendance not given
Fans singing Power Power - sort it out
Seats being brocken
Stewards getting twitchy towards the end
Marin Ling and ex Notts manager Derry both at last nights match
Fans singing Paolo Di Canio
Fans arguing amonst themselves
Boo's throughout the game
Power looked a younger J Clarkson
Players running away from the ball instead of challenging
Passes going in the opposite direction as the player
Goalie playing dribbler in front of gaol with an oppo player attacking
1/2 time Belfour shooting into the net several times from outside the 18 yd box
No hope wonders
But WE ARE GOING UP .... SAY WE ARE GOING UP
