And there's me looking a CNT again..
But happy about it..
Bowyer was right, we look a decent side. Very convincing away performance against Leeds. Did Steele have anything to do..? One slight gripe is we look wobbly against set pieces, but defiantly much improved defensively as a team..
As for bowyer, he's going nowhere anyway unless we are relegated, as per a tweet from shebby Singh tonight, so enough of the 'out' stuff I think. Time to back him whether your not entirely happy with him or not.

Bloody hell Saxo your opinion changes by the minute !
Fantastic result,we look great in the oppositions half just need to look more solid at the back.Good to see GB starting with two up front and giving the opposition something to think about.
All over the place in the last 15 minutes of the first half but still kept a clean sheet.Great performance though but i fear for Leeds ....

Not really, Saxo. It's another example of the sheer unpredictability of Championship football.
The problem is trying to make generalisations based on a particular game.
re: And there's me looking a CNT again..
This season the football has looked really good from Rovers. It has however coincided with not hitting the back of the net, so the table says we're a bag of sh1te. And results say that too.. But nice to see decent play pay off with goals tonight. That said, Leeds are utterly awful, so I'll keep my hands out of my pants for now.
re: And there's me looking a CNT again..
Why can it not be that our good play and organisation made Leeds look so poor? Don't forget, they're in the midst of a 'new manager bounce', and had 2 good results against decent sides away prior to playing us. They can't be that bad.

That is a good point, JR. I think people are sometimes guilty of not acknowledging that other teams are up-and-down too.
When we HAVE had decent results this season, it has often been put down to the poor quality of the opposition, ignoring the fact that the same team has previously (or subsequently) got decent results elsewhere.
After all, there are a lot of clubs BELOW us, as well as above us, and some of them have spent a lot more on players than we have.
To give you some idea of what I mean, I have listed our results so far, and I have placed the teams played according to whether or not they are above us in the current table.
Note that we have played four of the teams who are at present
re: And there's me looking a CNT again..
That's one thing I'm encouraged by this season so far, our performances against the sides in the mix at the top. We've matched them comfortably and deserved better results wise. There is definate progress there in our performances against the top sides compared to previous seasons..
