Is there any truth in the rumour that the ground is to be sold for HS2
I have heard strong rumors from friends who work within the railway industry that Gresty Road and Rail House are to be sold so that HS2 or other rail stock can pass through were we currently are . I have no knowledge of the railway system but if the two properties were to be sold could new lines be put down and trains run through. Also heard that the ground would be re located to land off jack Mills Way .

I don't think you have to be a soothsayer to figure out what's going to happen here.
Others more au fait with the internal politics of the club can probably shed more light than I, but this looks like a typical scam involving the creation of a PLC independent of 'Crewe Alex FC', which may have a few inconsequential intellectual property and image rights, but ones that are as nothing when compared to what could be made out of a 'Crewe Alex PLC' that owns the ground. It's happened for Arsenal, for Leeds... the list could go on and on. Next weekend's visitors, Coventry City, pay rent for playing their games in the Ricoh Arena, and could even be frozen out entirely if Wasps gain further success. There's money in RU, but hardly in League One. Where would they then go? The real movers, shakers and puppet masters in the events that have befallen them wouldn't give a fig.
This being the case, does the spring to mind of any majority shareholder who might profit from the sale of land

Spot On Vinde you don't have access to the Secret X files that the Directors have do you? Remember in 1966 Crewe .A. bought the Ground from the RAILWAY for 15.000 its always was Railway Land look over the Railway End and see the Salop Goods line only 20 yards away and still used to this day,and goes under ground very near to Rail House, also passes next to the P Way site which is going for HS2 along with Rail House just an obstruction in the way called Gresty Road Football Ground

Strong rumours of the ground being sold at the game yesterday with two places earmarked for a potential new ground with the second one I see would be the better option if their is any truth in it all.

There is still no guarantee that HS2 will get the full go ahead and the last meeting they did have in Crewe was that there would be a new hub in the nearby marshalling yards at Gresty where there was talk of a new station as well to replace the old one on Nantwich Road but why do all that work on the adjoining car park in Weston Lane? The PW route from the hub was then to go underground and not to touch Rail House or the football ground. But that would be expensive and so if it does get the go ahead, then overland would be cheaper even if that means knocking down Rail House and taking over the ground and surrounding area. As would replacing the existing track at the side of the ground and RH? Its still up in the air though, unless someone in the know has more information? It depends on how the economy performs perhaps?
Which two sites have been mentioned as a ground replacement?
RH would be the best bet as they have all the facilities, the players and staff are there and it
