Using Derek Lyle Properly

About two minutes before Derek Lyle came on , I said ( on twitter) that he was the kind of guy that would come on and break the deadlock . I didn't say this as a wild guess, rather it was because I knew he would be chomping at the bit and desperate to come on and score . We have seen the lift he gives the team many times before when introduced and his legs are fresh. This takes me on to my main point . To get the best out of him , Fowler has either got to start him and tell him he is coming off after an hour OR give him the whole second half to conjure some magic. We have been flogging him to death at times and have got to be a bit more clever in how we use him.
