Dean Whitestone will ref Saturday Hope he's improved !
The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Wycombe Wanderers this weekend.
Referee: Dean Whitestone
Linesmen: Christopher O'Donnell and John Flynn
Fourth Official: William Bull
Match Day referee Whitestone has officiated one Pompey game this season.
He has however already taken in 36 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 111 yellow cards and two red cards.
He was most card happy in the match between Bristol Rovers and Mansfield in March, with eight yellows being shown. Prior to that Colchester and S****horpe in August saw seven yellows being shown and he also showed seven in the game between Middlesbrough and Blackburn in February.
Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.

Prior to the Crawley game, last season he was here for the 2.2 draw with Cheltenham who of course were later relegated. Jack was injured that evening, right in front of me and it was nothing to do with Mr Whitestone or a Cheltenham player. Jack put his foot down and it twisted. The season before that Mr W was here for that awful 0.1 defeat by Torquay, they also were relegated to the Conference. I have been back 5 seasons and the Crawley match was the only one I could find that we won here. Indeed a 0.3 loss to Coventry I vividly remember. No surprise I gave up with severe depression looking further back.

I'm looking forward to watching Mr Whitestone now - maybe even more than I'm looking forward our own sweet team !
I do hope the boys in the Fratton End can come up with a decent song to sing for the ref..............

Perhaps they could sing the Glen Campbell song using "adapted" words to Rhinestone Cowboy........like "he's a Whitestone Cowboy riding out on the pitch in a star spangled rodeo, getting cards and abuse from people he doesn't know, and being offered out for a fight on the telephone"........along those lines? What do you think? Quite catchy if I do say so myself.......;D

The yellow for Marcus Bean for the studs up foul on Doyle left me fuming. Our ex player ought to have been yellow carded for the flare up before their free kick goal. He wasn't but then it was a no brainer straight red for me for that awful foul on Doyle. I couldn't understand what the Referee saw to give a yellow.

I guess he has not improved at all -
Just heard when he went to get in his car after the game his blind dog, that he had left in his car, 'bit him'
The thing is the Linesmen waited for the referee on every occasion - They never made any decision apart from once. South side once. There were many occasions when they should have assisted by signalling, which they failed to do. Useless - completely useless.........

I nearly bumped into the NSL before the game as he hurried in (with his large bag of kit). He appeared in a hurry, slightly late I would suggest. I was heading towards Micks Burger Van via the back of the Fratton End. being a Gent I let him pass in the small passageway which runs adjacent to the clubs offices. Anyways back to the game Roberts was barged off the ball after around 4 minutes, Amazingly the lino who was 2 yards away didn't see it as a foul, Evans was still going on at him about it a few minutes later. Next time the lino can shove past me
