Craig Moore
Sent out on loan to Ayr for the season. With Moult out for 2 months, is McGhee going with a false 9??
Can't imagine his wages are that high, so McGhee must really be squeezing the budget for a midfielder.
Presumably we can recall Moore if we get any more injuries to our strikers...
-
Even more bizarre when you consider we re-signed him on a one-year deal a few weeks ago.
It's possible he had a sudden falling out with McGhee or McGhee suddenly realised he made a mistake giving him a deal - he'd have only seen him on video for Ayr. Alternatively we're a few hundred quid a week short of getting the midfielder we desperately need and Moore is the body who can be shipped on.
-
Could turn out to be a good deal for both the club and Moore. The club will save some money which can be used with what's left in our budget to bring in a midfielder and Moore gets the chance to play first team football and can come back to us a better player!

Edit - just seen story on official site.
‘Well boss Mark McGhee said: “We think Craig’s a great player, but the way things have worked, we need to be a little clever with our budgets.
“It’s about him getting as much game time as possible and we’ll see where he is come December. We have a call-back option in January, so that gives us some flexibility.”
So he could return yet...but with Moult injured and McDonald possibly off to Sydney (!!) the attack is becoming just as much of a panic as the midfield.
