What's the boards thoughts on his appointment?

If I may give my tuppence ha'penny worth.
The right man at the right time. I think England have a good squad of young players, and they should have gone a lot further than they did in the Euros. Allardyce will bring that bit of organisation and that bit of "I'm the boss, don't feck with me". I'm expecting to see a couple of obvious things to be sorted asap; players playing in their natural positions and the defense to be functioning as per. I would personally also like to see Hart dropped and your no. 1 in his place.

I hope he bucks the FA way and starts to pick the best players for the job not just the best players from the best clubs.

If anyone would upset the apple cart, it'd be BFS.

We can but hope.

Possibly a good fit but there wasn't much of a choice in terms of Englishmen with the necessary skills and experience. He will get them organised to win and playing to their strengths but it won't be pretty to watch. Hoof it long to Carroll or somebody similar.
