Referees !!
Referees you just can't trust them.
Last season we had crap refs most of the time so, I get already to have a go at todays but the man did not give me any oppertuinity as he was 'not bad'! (hate saying that)
Well apart from the time wasting of the goal keeper but in the end he gave him a yellow card.
I nearly fell over when the red card came out.
So Mr organiser/allocator of officials to games can we have him again please !

Thought the same Lancer........the ref had a good game yesterday and was pretty brave to send off a player so early in the game.Anyone know if it was for two yellow card offences or abusive language? (i.e the new rule for questioning a referee,s decision with swearing etc)
-
That was our assumption at the time Phil - straight red for swearing as we didn't see another yellow. However in the Spews it says second yellow for a shirt tug on Roberts. Either way he could have gone with a straight red for that wild tackle on Talbot.

Cheers for clearing that one up Corky........the incident happened a fair distance away from us on the NSL (Towards the FE) but did look like "words" were exchanged and the red came out of nowhere! In light of the result it might have been better for us if the ref hadn't sent the player off! We managed to score against eleven.........

I'm with you Phil - we all thought it was a straight red and saw no yellow. But then you can never argue with the Spews ... XD

Graham Salisbury from Preston is a very experienced FL Ref and had a very good game yesterday from where I sit. If I had one slight moan it was that he allowed Gillespie to time waste far too long, the excellent keeper can therefore have no complaints at his yellow. Thought 4 minutes time added on was a bit tardy but it wouldn't have mattered to the score. Cov next stop for me.
