quick tasty moist chicken.
One fresh chicken.
Brush with oil.
Sprinkle with mixed herbs.
Cut a Lemon in half and shove it up it's arris.
Put in an oven bag and seal it.
Put on roasting dish in pre heated oven gas mark 5, for 1 and 1/2 hours. enjoy.
P.S. Never ever wash fresh Chicken inside or out.

As a by product of this , you will be left with about 3/4 pint of excellent chicken stock.
leave to cool then freeze , and add for future chicken gravy , instead of crappy stock cubes.

Summat I really enjoy you can't get as ready made is a good liver bacon and onions...bacon under the grill, onions for as long as you want in a pan with a pinch of sugar then push em to the side; add a bit of butter, turn pan up to really high heat and stick the liver in coated in a touch of flour and pepper, for 30s to a minute on each side. Magic ingredient is a touch of white vinegar in the pan. Goes great with bubble and squeak too if you've got some leftovers

One courgette.
Use a potato peeler and cut the courgette into fine strips.
Put it in an oven proof dish.
Add garlic salt and a touch of milled black pepper then lightly drizzle with vegetable oil.
Put in the oven 180c for 15 mins.
Even your kids will love it.
