Although Greaves was my first Spurs hero, I grew up watching Hoddle, from scoring on his debut against Stoke and for the next 12 years before moving to Monaco. Some of his goals were just superb but one of my favourite performances I saw him give was in a friendly! Ossie's testimonial when Glenn linked up with Maradona as if they had played together for years. He should have played at least 100 times for England and both England and Spurs were wrong to get rid of him. Glenn was a true Spurs legend but I was not around to see the double winning team so I cannot make comparisons with players from that team.
He was great at Monaco where he left many good memories
Hi Frenchie, good to see you on here mate. Yes Glenn left good memories most places he was at including Swindon and chelski.
Davee: Another old Spurs player that is revered on the Cote D'Azur is Chris Waddle. I won't bet my house on it but. I believe he was voted in the top 3 players of all time who played for Marseille. Their fans are nuts at the best of times but Waddle just made them go bananas.
You should have seen Hoddle and Waddle together mate. Diamond Lights was their finest display not in a Spurs shirt!! :O
