Time to see if Davis has learned from his mistakes

Nice article on the Sentinel website about our January transfer targets, apparently we're after a Striker form Stoke and a Centre Midfielder from Bury.

For me this is a nice opportunity to see if Davis has learned from the errors he's made time and time again when he's loaned players in who've stifled the growth of our youngsters.

I can't see Tutte coming in without a very good chance of first team football so given that Hollands place seems guaranteed it's most likely that Jones will be left out, despite developing well and being one of our better players this season.

As for the lad upfront, Davis had repeatedly showed his reluctance to drop either Dagnall or Lowe so thats a striker coming in to take up the 3rd spot or as he's 6'1 maybe be the target man Davis keeps saying he doesn't want , either way that pushes Udoh and Saunders down the pecking order, despite Udoh scoring regularly for the U23's and in the Cheshire Cup.

He also keeps saying he wants another fast winger, so thats Ainley and Kirk down the pecking order too. Lets not forget that this is the manager who tried to sign a creative midfielder at the start of this season that would have most likely put Cooper on the bench.

So no...no he hasn't learned
