Today's modern player....
Has a bad game and eh presto they announce an injury.... it must be the easiest way to pick up what is way above the average wage and sit it out a few weeks....
This isn't primarily aimed at Blackstock take a look at our 'injured' players'....
are they really that injured are is it psychological for some of them....
I recall from last season Warnock being informed that a player was still several weeks away from starting training...,. he approached the player and asked him to dig in to help the team..... result? Played out of his skin and helped the club retain championship status and here we are again....
What Warnock did was make a mockery of the back room staff and proved a point.... sometimes it's in their head.... good old Neil
More breaking news-Xmas comes every year and falls on Dec.25th.
Surprise,surprise !!!
The worst thing about this news is....it doesn't really matter!
It does matter gm because we've got to pay him for 3 years ! Suspect he'll be paid off come Jan. Staggering.
The signing of Blackstock is just one of several pointers to the ineptitude of Stubbs.
If reports are correct he turned down the chance to spend at least £1.5 million, at the end of the transfer window, to strengthen the side.
He didn't think Gregory was worth that, or that Bradshaw was worth his asking price. Fair enough - I wouldn't argue with either of those assessments and I certainly don't think he should have paid over the odds for any player.
However, there must have been players available with those funds available who could have strengthened the team. To just not bother was ridiculous. Especially so this season with the change in the loan system.
Instead we sign a player who is not match fit and remains that way for several weeks and, on evidence to date, appears to be a waste of a wage when he is fit. An absolute catastrophe.
