Should he stay or should he go (now)

To paraphrase the Stranglers, should Sean Dyche take the Everton job if offered or would he be wise to stay at Burnley?

Of course from a career point of view Everton is bigger club with more resources and therefore be seen as a step up, BUT he would be crisis managing and if for whatever reason it fell apart he could find himself out of a job and waiting a long time for another opportunity (albeit with a hefty compensation package).

Staying at Burnley he is reasonably fire proof, earning a good wage and has less stress, bigger is not always better?

Manager merry go round...................... depends on what Dyche wants, if it is money a well negotiated deal to take over the Everton job would be the way to go, although continue at Burnley could improve his profile and job choices, if indeed he want to move.

Personally I would stay, get the decent wage and be able to sleep at night.

I would go. Burnley will go down sooner rather than later. Everton are traditionally a Europa league spot chasing club.I don't think the Turf Moor job is fire proof. Better to go to Goodison, turn things around, mid-table finish and then next season give a right go. If he takes over now, he's quite safe for this season if results improve, which they should given the squad.
Same as Palace, a good squad, just needs some balance.

I think he would ahve to cock up pretty badly to get sacked from burnley, its all about how realistic the owners are, if Burnley are relegated this season, he will get at least next season to rectify matters.

The club has a strict financial regime, Dyche works within that, he knows he will have to sell players he knows he has to find promising or unsung talent and develop it, as much as any managers job can be its less stressfull, he has no pressure beyond doing the best he can with the resources available, the fans see him as a hero bringing unprecedented success to a club thats bounced around the lower leagues for ages.

burnley are far from certain to be relegated, it would only be his ambition that would tempt him to make the move and the squad Everton is unballanced, they dont have a decent striker.

Plus the ambition of the owners is not to be a top half prem team, they want to be top 6 and challenging for promotion, those ambitions bring pressure, go there now and he may turn it around, but if he doesn't it will be a very short tenure, there are many managers who having been successful at a club, felt they were ready to move on to "bigger and better" clubs and crashed and burned never to be heard of again, whereas if they had stayed at the club they were at they would more than likely still be in a job.

I knew Everton were in trouble the moment they sold Lukaku and got Rooney back.

The lack of a striker replacement was certainly an error in their transfer dealings, not sure thats purely the managers fault as other do the deals these days at Everton. apparently they were after Giroud and did not have alternative targets when that failed.

Spending 160M and then being far worse than last season is not good. Some think Lukaku's goals being missed are the reason for their demise. The MF is far from solid and the defence is showing more holes than a colander. Whoever take over will have difficulty turning Koeman's legacy round.

Go, get a bigger wage and save up for retirement.

Latest rumour has it that Benitez is in line for the Everton job.
I doubt it though, would be a huge mistake if he accepted it. Newcastle fans love him.

Koeman failed to replace Lukaku and bring in Giroud as his successor though Giroud scores goals he ain’t anything like Lukaku and is not guaranteed to get you results on a consistent basis like Lukaku.
