Sat with Sams Mum and Grandfolk with my youngest daughter on Leppers Lane tonight.
What I doubt anyone here knows is the Blades played a behind closed doors match today and Sam played in it.
2 games in one day.
Not bad.

Half the team out tonight played 45 mins earlier in the day at Chesterfield behind closed doors to give our first team fringe players a run out. So taking into account our oldest player was 19 and some of them played 135 mins during the day not a bad effort to be leading 1-0 at HT. Just ran out of steam against a pigs team inflated by million pound players in their desperation to get a result over us.
One pig quotes on NKT their coach should be called out for the second half capitulation even though it was only a 2-1 defeat :D
Much better we concentrate on getting first team fringe players fit than non event u23 games where our young lads have to play 1 and a half games in 1 day to fill up the numbers.
It will have been a fantastic learning curve for the next generation of our stars as opposed to a pointless run out beyond an ego trip for a bunch of giant multi million pound waste of spacers who are miles off championship standard.
The pigs have a frightening amount of financial loss to accommodate . So many totally crap multi million pound signings with absolutely no resale value.
I disagree abart your Non event U/23 games comment mi owd pal, personally i don't like losin to the grunters whatever level,i think academy football altho some of it is tippy tappy stuff is still an important step in young players early career, especially like last night when most of our players were under 20.I agree it will have been a very good learnin curve for our lads.UTCB
I think playing earlier in the day, contributed to young Regan having to go off
