It seems Rafa can make any excuses he wants because most fans are just happy to have this world class manager who they believe is something to brag about.
Some feel privileged to have him.
What's the world coming to when an inept, soulless manager can churn out garbage after garbage and simply just blame spending for people to say " ahhh, rafa's right, he's a genius and we would be motoring if Ashley handed him what he wanted."

Wake up people and see this man for what he is. He's a mercenary and his wages prove it.

Joselu is Spanish and Rafa went for the Spanish in him, nothing else, because he's not seen enough of him in Stokes team to run any real rule over him.

2 seasons Rafa has been at this club and in those two seasons he's bought in 125 million worth of players. He bought them...none were forced on him because he holds the contract that states that he runs the show....remember?


So Ashley's to blame because he didn't hand Rafa, how much after promotion....after he blew 80 million in the championship on many players he refused to even play.

Come on for crying out loud...don't anyone tell me that's good management and wheeling and dealing or was he forced into buying those players?
Was he forced into buying Ritchie who stepped DOWN from the prem? Because Ritchie is a success but any that aren't is Ashleys fault.

well actually elliott had a couple of crap games and cost us pointys. just as darlow cost us points last night.

see - Rafa was correct when he said he needed an experienced goalie - but was poo poohed by all who knew better than him.


i didn't see any other strikers for sale for £5 million at the time did you??? he didn't have any other money cos ashley said sell first

now a lot of the crap he needs to sell were brought in before rafa even came here- so don't blame him for all the deadwood.

The point is he shouldn't have bought Joselu at any price. He's worse than Gayle and Mitrovic. It was £5m down the drain.

it may indeed be 5million down the drain , however hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it

and quite frankly if we had a prolific striker i think he could do a job supporting him - better than diame at holding up ball etc

I don't think it is hindsight. He wasn't an unknown quantity. His record with Stoke spoke for itelf.

He dropped Elliot cause he was shyte. Now Darlow is shyte. Maybe if your lover Ashley had granted him more money, we could've bought a class GK and would we then have lost the game last night or many others?

nah sels was for the championship

pretty difficult to get a top class experienced goalie in, when you are playing in the championship
