from what I read - it was known that there'd be trouble at the game - being the Wham supporters didn't get their protest march (Board..Sullivan/Gold) before the match - so were waiting to fire off...and as the goals went in, the despondence came out and tension bubbled over - they showed it....but from what i've seen - the pitch invaders were an aimless few - most of the upset being directed at the board up in the directors area - and why Barnes felt the need to tackle the supporter who was running around waving a piece of paper...I dont know, was just plain silly.
Of the match - I think that as S.D - Moyes should have made the obvious changes earlier - was no good waiting until they were 2 goals down before deciding to bring on a striker - and because they didnt react they fell to pieces, helped perhaps the shock and awe power of the Barnes goal which probably began the paralysis - and set the tone for the remains of the match.....from that point it was game over and another 3 easy points in the bag.
Cheers.
