Because the money doesn't go into developing players at grass roots, or at coaching.
Looking how many coaches Spain and Germany have at grassroots level in comparison.
What a joke the FA are.
I think it's a mystery to a lot of people why England haven't been a more superior side for the past 20-odd years. The teamsheets over the years have been overwhelming, but the outcome incredibly underwhelming.
For me a lot of it has been our players, in the sense we have had players who "must" play regardless of them fitting the system.
Gerrard and Lampard spring to mind.
