Queens have a good chance of coming away with the three points here, - but only if they play with the same conviction as last Saturday and in the second half against Dundee Utd - over the entire 90 minutes.
According to Mr Naysmith in the Standard today youngsters Gourlay, Harvey and Exley are also injured while Fordyce could be out for 6 - 8 weeks. Doyle and Todd will be last - minute decisions he says.
Not great reading....
We are not even out if August yet and we are struggling to field a team, never mind a team that will compete at the top end of the league. It would appear that the board or manager are happy to let kids fight to get into the play offs as our bench is nothing but kids starting out in their careers. Now we have possibly 3 senior players out for Saturday. What goes onto the bench? I agree if we can field our strongest side from number 1 to 11 each week then we will possibly compete but that's not going to happen that often. It has been stated 3 more players are required. Imho I think it's nearer 6 players needed to make us competitive through the season. It's either that or we accept that we go down a league and let the younger players develop there. Thats what happened with Holt and co! And they came back stronger for it. Last week we competed with st Johnstone who I thought were poor. This week we are likely to be missing a few so anything from this game is a bonus
Tell me what exactly?
I know that Robbie Ivison has been called up to the first team squad.
