I see Jim as past away aged 82 I think R.I.P.
He never got the credit that he deserved, football was at times awful under him ,but he helped stabilise the club during some dark times ,
R I P Jim Iley
RIP Jim Iley. Like many a fan at that time I gave thi some stick, especially at Marine, but all that's sooin forgotten. Tha sumdis husband, dad, brother, relative, friend--sympathy to you all.
First Manager I watched them under! RIP Mr Iley once a Red always a Red.......
Rest in peace Jim , you laid the foundations for that great period between 1978 and 1982 , Clarkie added Derek Bell and Tommy Graham but the rest of the squad was brought in by your good self including the great Alan Little .
You never really got the credit you deserved .
Once a Tyke always a Tyke .

Thank you for helping me love the reds & for laying the foundations for promotion
My sincere condolences to Jim’s family at this sad time
Got some stick at the end of his tenure but left a good core of players when Clarkey took over. Rip Jim.
