If it was just a straight swap then i'd probably say go for it but his goal record shows he's inconsistent so I'd rather see how he does for the full season before splashing £16 mil or whatever it was for him.
Gayle wont play for us again. So we may as well.
Why not keep him on loan,sign someone else with the "money",if there is any to spend.See if he comes good then when the next lot of tv money is paid and if we stay up we will have more than enough to buy him with.Oh wait,Ashley and Mash holdings get that.

I think with Rondon you're damned if you buy him and damned if you don't. Hopefully he stays in form for the rest of the season and we get him permanently in the Summer, he's getting up there in age too which Ashley wont like. You pays your money and you takes your chances.
