Mine is I Believe in Father Christmas by Greg Lake
Pogues "Fairytale" the best.
If they play that hideous one by Maria Carey I have to run out the shop!!!!! (Hope you shopkeepers are reading this!)
How about this one from the late 60s:
Jingle Bells
Dougan smells
McGarry's got no hair
Peter Knowles is saving souls
And Wagstaff is a spare
Oi
C'mon admit it everyone - Last Christmas is your favourite really
1/ Pogues - Fairytale of New York
2/ A spaceman came calling - Chris de Burgh
3/ Step into Xmas - Elton John
4/ Little drummer boy - Bing and Bowie
5/ Wizard - I wish it could be xmas every day
6/ Stay now - East 17
I also love John Anderson and Vangelis’s “ I’ll find my way home” and ABBA’s “Suoer Trouper” as both of which were out at Xmas in the early 80’s when I had some tough Xmas experiences in the live stakes!
I'll tell you the worst one - that squawking screeching, dreadful Happy Xmas war is over, Lennon/Yoko
Darlene Love - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home):D
