Ah a little research shows we have never played today's incarnation of Accrington, but we have played the previous two Accringtons

The original Accrington team were founder members of league but went tits up after only a few, years. Our record unimpressive against them. A new Accrington Stanley reformed and got back into league in the 20s, playing us in our years in 3North in the 50s. Modest results only. That team quit the league in 1962, and another Accrington team emerged, which is now in League 1, and we have never played.Quote:
