That brings back so good and bad memories. Remember the toilets at the back :)
Will never forget the strange almost exotic climbing plants that flourished in the ash pits that were the Coo Shed urinals. The Tennants lager inspired , hot pee that was dumped there in its gallons must have had a thriving grow formula in it.
Ayr United is the modern equivalent of somewhat dated facilities. Only missing the alfresco urinating. Ah.... Those were the days, changing ends at half time. Great stuff!
The changing of ends is a fond boyhood memory but I have no such warm feelings for the coo shed. The reek of urine, beer and cigarette smoke left less than impressive thoughts in a young boys mind who was more than pleased to see it gone. It was one of those places you were not overly keen on stepping into and much preferred the terracing.
