I shouldn't worry about possible handballs in the opposition's area, we very rarely get that close.

That rule about players being substituted having to leave by the nearest touchline is sensible. Mind you, they'll still probably make that walk last an age.

There should be a similar rule about an injured player going off for treatment having to leave via the nearest touchline. and don't get me started about stopping play for some poor little dear sitting down 'cos the precious little darling is suffering from cramp. I've seen it happen within two yards of the sideline and it only occurs when the other side has the ball - strange, that. When I were a lad the walking wounded were told by the ref to get off the pitch immediately if they needed treatment, that was enough to repair anything from a runny nose to a broken leg and get 'em running again.

Very true

Can an out-going player who is being subbed, be booked for pratting about for too long. And if hes already been booked, that would become a sending off offense wouldnt it.

Yes he can and it should have happened earlier this season in a Notts match. I forget who we were playing (and of course they were winning so no wonder I forget) but one of the oppositon players was subbed and on his slow jog off he shook the hand of every team-mate he passed, and some who walked over to him to shake his hand. The ref didn't have a clue and just watched.

That actually happened to a Notts player, away from home in a midweek match under Shaun Derry, but I can't remember more than that.

He wasn't even taking that long to walk off if memory serves.

That was at Donny wasn’t it? I can remember the match but not the player. Which given the number of players we’ve had in the last few years isn’t much of a surprise.
