O/T Cricket Yorks v Somerst

County Championship game at Headingley
Day 1 Saturday - Yorks 282-3
Day 2 Yesterday - Yorks 510 all out, Somerset 76-4
Went to the game yesterday. Great view from the new Emerald stand, which has replaced the old "Football Stand".
Tons for Ballance on Saturday, Kohler-Cadmore yesterday, and also young Harry Brook yesterday too, plus a swashbuckling 72 from Maharaj. All the Yorkshire bowlers performed well too. The fast bowlers footmarks may give Maharaj the chance to get some spin, if he can hit the right spot. Looked like there was still a bit of bounce for the fast bowlers too. The England v NZ World Cup game was shown on the monitors in the concourses during the match.
Dropped in on the Kirkstall Bridge Inn , right down the bottom of Kirkstall Lane, after the game.
Very good selection - 4 from the local Kirkstall brewery and 4 others too, all on handpump.
Heading back to Headingley this morning for Day 3.

Staying in West Yorks for Millers friendlies v Farsley Celtic tomorrow and Bradford PA on Wednesday. Get that defence sorted out, Warney!

Somerset are 164 for 8 at lunch, Maharaj 5 for 44...and....
mikemiller is on his second pint.
Easy on the Real Ale after the match mike, wouldn’t want you to have an hangover Tuesday at Farsley Celtic.

Great bowling from Yorkshire today. Although Maharaj has picked up the wickets our other bowlers have played well too and have been unlucky, especially Fisher

Somerset bowled out for 196 and are now following on.

Somerset made a good start to their second innings, but then lost three quick wickets... 115-3 now

Somerset finished the day on 159-4. Fisher's earlier efforts paid off in the end, dismissing both Somerset openers. Maharaj has taken nine wickets in this match do far. Let's hope that he gets a few more tomorrow

Mike - how good is Kohler Cadmore? Any chance of him getting back in the Lions set up?

Kohler-Cadmore is naturally gifted as a batsman with great timing and as a slip fielder... The only person who could burger up his career is himself - lack of concentration sometimes, and the selectors know more than us about some previous off-field stuff, which may make them reluctant to pick him.

Hes had a couple of incidents. The most recent at Worcestershire.
