North Queensland's short but sweet match reports

Belper, enjoyable for a few reasons: first time I've actually see them win since fleeing 30 odd years ago. Obvious gulf in class although an entertaining watch; slightly concerned at 0-1, extremely concerned in the last 3-4 minutes. Far better than watching a 9-0 slaughter and a good workout for the team. Met up with some mates I used to attend with 30+ years ago; ex Roadside and Kop boys, now Pavis bringing flasks of coffee in!! Yes, you Gary.

Chesterfield: frustrating, gulf in class obvious, just needed someone like Enzio driving forward as at Woking and 3 points would have been in the bag. I did notice that when Chessie actually had an attack and fired in a cross, they were 20 times more dangerous than when we floated crosses in. Fodder for the keeper and giants like Hollis.

Spent lots of $$ in the club shop and will be resplendent in the away kit around Cairns. Next match report in 5 years.
