R.I.P. Brian Pilkington.

Sad news today. Brian passed away. R.I.P. Mr Pilkington.

I was behind the goal at the Cricket Field end when Pilky scored that 2nd goal against Hamburg, I could see it curving all the way into the net, it was a goal from the moment it left his foot.

I still don't know how that was not a penalty sinkov. In fact, it was the last few words my Grandad said before he passed on to the great football pitch in the sky!

I'm sure when the time comes with my last few breaths, I will say, "Jon Moss is a first rate tosser..."

R.I.P Pilky..A fantastic winger in his day..

My first season watching the Clarets was 1952/3 and Pilky was one of my favourtie players because of his dribbling skills.
