I’m not sure the EFL will care, they will do as the government advises with bare minimum out put.
Clubs at our level and lower will be hardest hit if they have to refund pre paid season tickets as that cash is already budgeted for. The telly money is so good in the championship and premier league that clubs can afford to charge fans nothing.
Interesting this. Evidence here that we live in a compo world and blame culture. Many seem reluctant to take responsibilty themselves.
Would the lockdown be because the government say so or because it is viewed as a way to stop contracting a life threatening virus?
It’s hardly getting out of hand here though.
If they’re that worried just hand out masks, gel or whatever and let’s us enjoy the games.
If your worried yourself then feel free not to attend
We are in danger of being misled by the figures coming out of China. The infection rates and mortality rate will not pan out the exact same way in every country.
The spread and death rate relate directly to government / population response and quality of medical care. The WHO did an extensive report into the China response. They say the lockdowns in hotspot areas was key to stop the spread. The excellent medical care prevented a much higher death rate. The 2 together prevented a greater catastrophe.
If other countries do not match this response the outcome will be very different.
If we are negligent, as, initially, in Italy or have a poor medical response as in Iran, the problem will quickly run out of control.
In that sense, as I see it, this is not about what the individual prefers but what is best for the broader population.
The least of our worries should be whether we're allowed to watch football for a couple of weeks.
