Ah, but maybe the Earth’s gravity has altered the orbit of the asteroid and it will now swing round and come back at us; anybody see the film Melancholia? They thought that the rogue planet had missed us but the Earth’s gravity caused it to swing back and smash into us! It was a strange film and I thought that the concept might cheer us all up..........!!!!
It's due to return in 2079 Ketts and it is supposed to come closer next time, not that it will concern us.
