Merson was a slightly above average footballer when he played with L'Arce but since retiring from the game it astonishes me how, at any level he has obtained employment as a sports journo or even an opinionist.

I can't recall any time I've watched or listened to the perennial pi$$head's gibberish ramblings that he has ever spoken any modicum of sense so much so that I now cringe every and any time I hear his name mentioned.

Can you ever imagine any one of even average intelligence agreeing with his opinions, even remotely.

Succinctly put. Only in football do a mindless lump of watchers hang on to the every word of dough heads who when in employment were at best only average in their field but somehow get portrayed by the media as know all experts.

I'll warrant that very few, if even any, would have made their way in the game as even average coaches or managers.
