Recent speculation

The first thing I would say is I do not want SD to leave. He has given us stability and a decent team. However, with the bits of speculation etc. it is likely that if the right club comes along and SD sees it as a improvement for him as a person then may be he might accept. If that becomes the case do we have any succession planning in place ? In otherwords have we noted all the successful attributes SD has which would allow us to select a person who has those qualities and hopefully more besides so that our success continues to grow ? One thing I would say is that SD would be hard pressed to get another club with such good finances BFC have, and of course that is a reflection on the Chair and Board.

Reading somewhere today that Dyche is open to "reality" and when the time is right and the circumstances are favourable to him, he's off!

All of us in employment would do exactly the same.

I would go along with that,but boy will he be under some pressure.

I'm not a big fan of our Board, but when they fail to find an adequate replacement for Dyche, I won't blame them. The man who can replicate the success Sean Dyche has brought us isn't out there to find, he doesn't exist.

I never used to think SD existed Sinkov!

Thankfully, i was wrong.

Oh well, something else not to worry about. In my 68 years going to the Turf nobody on the Board has asked me which manager they should employ, so I don't think that it is going to happen now.
Even my cousin didn't ask me and he was on the Board for several seasons including when we first gained promotion to the PL.

It can work the other way round though Sub, we can tell them who they shouldn't employ, as we did with Brian Laws. And they listened, and they got rid. We're not completely powerless.

Aye, perhaps you locals can do that, however, we exiles just stay cool and take things as they come. Evev so, my cousin was on the Board then and I was never asked! ;D

Who's your cousin Sub, I did used to sort of know someone whose dad was on the Board, but that's a while ago and sadly his dad died about ten years ago.

Ex-Accy Grammar School and good friend of Barry Kilby which is how he became involved when asked to put his hand in his pocket! He never, ever thought that he would see that money again, however, much to the annoyance of the majority of fans, he was repaid when we got to the PL. Although he is not now a director he still attends matches and I meet up with him before the match.
