You have to fear for the future of the club
Against the euphoria (quite rightly) of staying in the Prem for another year it would be myopic to believe that we are now an established Prem club.
Aging squad; depleted squad; no major funds to spend on the multiple positions needed; a manager that may well depart sooner rather than later.
I remember posting that we needed new ownership but the difficulties in finding a new owner is confronting.
Small ground; lack of a huge local population (and therefore lack of future potential fan-based increase).
I offered the thought that amalgamation with nearby football clubs might be the only practical answer to potential fan increase but was shouted down with comments such as "This is Burnley-we don't want foreign ownership", "We don't want amalgamation".
And all that's fine but where to from here?
Is going down an inevitability?
If so, SD will be gone soon.
I would be very interested in your views on how the club could advance this seemingly impossible dilema.
