Very interesting watching this game. Rodrigo is playing right on the last man, right in the middle. He is in the Bamford role without question (including that he's missed two good chances although he looks very very sharp and alive in the box especially - very positive and exactly what we need).
It's clear from this that his instinctive game is to be an out and out striker, a 'number 9', looking to finish moves rather than be the creative 10 or deeper linking player.
I had thought we'd bought him to relieve Pablo of being a 90 min player, but on this showing he's not Pablo's replacement by any means. I guess that's why we're after Wilson or the other Rodrigo - suggests our spending is definitely not done and we still need that option so Pablo can be rested or play less.
