Is Struber using the NYB interest as a lever to get the recruitment in he badly needs .
Is he in essence upping his game ?
Not necessarily what I believe but there's nowt official on his departure as yet .

Quite possible Animal. He's tried everything else. As we know from our previous two Head Coaches requests for Championship experience don't go down too well with Conway.
Struber must have insisted on a release clause in his contract.
It seems discussions have been held between NYRB and Struber, which indicates interest from Struber.
Returning to the Red Bull group will have a big appeal.
Reports suggest NYRB have met the just over £1.5 million release clause price
Conway gets £1.5 million to pay the Crynes part of the £2.75 million he has reneged on for buying the club. :P
Ivvery Wuns a Winner. (fans' views irrelevant )
He didn't write any notes for yesterday's programme, do maybe he is on his way. Sky Austria reckon that New York Red Bulls have met the £2 million release clause.
Struber was backed more than Stendel. Solbauer, Ludwig, Helik, Ritzmaier, Freiser all Struber players. Brought in to play Struber's system. Whoever comes in will have to work with those players.
Wilks and Bahre were Stendel players.
I think we need a striker, a midfielder, a left back and probably as our lass says a good dribbler.
But unfortunately I think we are screwed. Hope I am wrong.
If Struber does go, I hope we get Paul Cook.
To the naked eye it's a glamorous job to take but dig a little and it may not be so .
The MLS isn't a great level of football by any means and you'd struggle to find one New Yorker who even knows they have two teams in it .
What about his family back home in Austria ? , does he take them to the US and the upheaval only to realise its not quite what it seems or indeed he gets the sack .
If he leaves them in Austria it's simply not doable to jump on a plane every week and pop back home , something he can do here on a saturday night and be back on the training ground on monday morning .
There's quite a bit here to consider for Struber and it may well be he can turn this interest to his advantage whilst having no intentions of taking the job in New York .
Someone on the BBS reckons we are getting a 22 year old German defensive midfielder. He must be cheaper than Ben Whiteman
Whichever figure it is SB, they will make a profit on him.
