Before the game...."Anything here is a bonus, this is a free shot"
Then Celtic will take at least five off us without reply, indeed we won't even register a meaningful shot at goal.
And then afterwards...."it doesn't matter, because games against the Old Firm don't matter, our wee team can't compete and there's no shame in getting hammered here, it's only games against the other nine clubs that count, proud as ever of my delightful little club".
Celtic's players seem dangerously close to downing tools for Lennon - but it's one thing doing that in Europe, will they really stroll another game which could seem fall further behind Rangers?
Alternatively Lennon is similar to Robinson in the sense that he's been under pressure a few times and has always managed to dig out a result when needed. You'd be mad to bet against him doing so again.
For all the analysis, they've still got players vastly superior to us...so thrilled if we pinch a point.
As long as we don’t sit in and try to frustrate them to get a 0-0 draw. The centre of their defence is about as solid as an MFI wardrobe so why not have a real go, by playing balls either in behind them or to the feet of Watt or Cole to run directly at Duffy and co. If we attempt to play for a no scoring draw and lose a goal with 15 minutes to go how to be change our players mindsets, teams who have taken points off them in the league or Europe have all had a right go at them. Surely the old adage of best form of defence is attack. COYW
Celtic are clearly more vulnerable than previous years but it's worth pointing out their domestic record (Old Firm excluded) is still eight wins, two draws and zero losses, averaging 2.8 goals a game. With the exception of that OF game - where yes they were rubbish but missing several players - they essentially have the same record at home as Rangers, who are currently considered to be on a roll.
Even off-form it would be a major surprise if we turn them over...that's the margin for error having X-times the budget of every competitor buys you.
