Let's hope so, although it will take some time for vaccinations to reach the whole of the general population. But it could mean a steady return to football grounds, starting around February. How this will happen remains to be seen. Will we need vaccination certificates or will grounds be split into vaccinated areas and social distanced areas, for those who are still waiting vaccination?
Initially, we should receive enough for 5M people this year, with doses for another 15M next year, added to that we should have the Oxford vaccine close behind.
It's nice to have some positive news for a change and so far the media haven't yet tried to find some expert to dampen our enthusiasm.
Allow a non expert to curb your enthusiasm. if you are lucky enough to be an early recipient of the vaccine, most likely due to age in the case of this forum, then you will feel obliged to go to Pride Park and watch the most unbearably boring football seen this side of the millennium. Are you sure you want that? I'm not suggesting COVID is preferable, but ....
