Like how is Father told when he was 16 years of age to buckle down and just get on with it. Beats a slap I suppose but nevertheless sound advice from his Father. What a shame society doesn't work like that with other kids at 16 years of age.

Also shows why the ‘good human being’ thing can have some merit if it’s alongside the hard work, discipline and toughness - sounds like his character and the helpfulness of the more senior pros going out of their way to support him has helped him develop.
