Heartache Avenue.
Really sad to find out that lead singer Lol Maison had actually died in 2019.
One of the great true pop songs of my youth was Heartache Avenue by The Maisonettes.

I also loved his hit 5705 with City Boy back in 78.......again, great pop.

I know a guy who worked as a roadie for Lol and reckoned he was a top bloke.
Sad to see another figure from my youth bite the dust at 69.
Apparently his dad was responsible for the Dick Barton radio show and for creating The Archers.
I actually worked with Eddie Grundy from The Archers dad in real life.......I’ve mixed with the stars so I have 😏

I saw City Boy live in 1978, I had two albums of theirs, Dinner at the Ritz and Young Men Gone West. 5705 was the tune I liked least of all, just done for the charts.
The night I saw them, a Thursday, they announced live on stage that Keith Moon had been found dead that morning.
So I had Friday off out of respect.
