Classic football manager euphemisms...

Reading between the lines, is this what some managers really mean when they say:


1. We've brought them in because they offer something different i.e. this player has a pulse and can actually kick a ball

2. He's a great utility player i.e. not much cop in any position

I was proud of the lads ie I cocked up the formation and tactics

I can’t fault the lads - they were crap

I don’t want to single anyone out - it’s hard when no player puts a shift in

I didn’t see it.....it was a blatant penalty and I doubt the refs parentage

One of NW's favourites "I thought the referee had a poor game" = "The ****er in the black with questionable parentage needs a red hot poker shoving where the sun doesn't shine"

Anything Warnock says = the ref was kin useless.

I think Warnock has his own Batman type phone to Alan Wiley, the referees gaffer, to give him aggro, the day after each game.

We are playing far too many games......... ie when’s that next friendly in Dubai?

He”s a great young lad and is very much part of what we are trying to do here.............he will do well in his loan spell in the National league north..
